About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) document for federal contract opportunity 2032H326R00007, which involves painting and carpet work at the Main Treasury Building, a National Historic Landmark.
The seed project scope includes interior painting in Rooms 1316, 1320, 2409, 2413, and 2417, with work performed during evening hours (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM), representing 80-100% of anticipated task orders. The contractor must furnish carpet specified as Mind Over Matter collection, Forward Vision GT135 style, Color 678 Expertise, Duracolor Premium Nylon fiber with EcoFlex backing, in 24"x24" tiles. Paint specifications require Benjamin Moore Aura Interior or Low/No VOC equivalent: Walls HC-93 Carrington Beige (Flat); Trim, Door, Window Surrounds, Cornice, Ceiling OC-17 White Dove (Flat); and FCU wood covers HC-179 Platinum Gray (Semi-Gloss). The scope includes only previously painted doors and window frames, casings, moldings, and sills; unpainted wooden elements remain untouched. Contractors must cover furniture with polyethylene before painting rather than remove and reinstall it. Equipment and materials must be removed daily from work areas, with limited government-provided storage available. Multiple contractors will be awarded under this IDIQ contract. RSMeans pricing allows for overhead and profit markup. Bonds are not required. Historic preservation review is not required. An air scrubber must operate during all working hours, and all task orders require Low/No VOC paint compliance.
