About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file related to a Request for Information (RFI) from the IRS Criminal Investigation (CI) Nationally Coordinated Investigation Unit. The Q&A addresses three key inquiries about the procurement opportunity for a worldwide passenger air travel data database. The responses clarify that the IRS is seeking data providers specifically for aggregated searchable data, not a commercial database or software/hardware for data analysis. The document reveals that the IRS intends to obtain data through sharing agreements with commercial airlines and partner agencies, with a focus on anonymized data types.
