Solicitaon: 2031ZA24B00006 Window Glazing/Security Window Film
Amendment 001
1. I just wanted to clarify that this is all window nt film being installed on exisng windows, and not the actual glazing being replaced (Glass windows). Response: Yes, this is new install of window glazing and some tint. There is no removal of old tint or glazing required for this project.
2. Please can you clarify if “Security Window Glazing” is security window film applied to exisng glass or are you looking for any new glass replacement in the scope? Response: It is the installaon of Security Window film on exisng glass. No ”new” glass is required for this project.
3. Can we schedule another day before the bid is due? Response: Another site visit will not be scheduled for this requirement. Site Visits are not mandatory. If not, could you send me a few pictures of the atrium foyer area. Response: BEP will not send any pictures as some areas cannot be photographed.
4. What product are you requesting for the security side of this project? Is it 3M ? Response: This information is outlined in the Scope of Work (Part 4) of the Solicitation document (2031ZA24B00006 – Window Glazing/Security Window Film) on SAM.gov.
5. Addionally, as we aim to tailor our proposal to meet your specific needs, we would greatly appreciate any guidance or recommendaons regarding window nng products or manufacturers. We understand the importance of factors beyond the 85% glare reducon and 69% solar energy, and we're commited to providing opons that align perfectly with your requirements. Response: This informaon is outlined in the Scope of Work (Part 4) of the Solicitaon document (2031ZA24B00006 – Window Glazing/Security Window Film) on SAM.gov, but it is ulmately up to the Offerors to recommend how they can meet the Governments need based on the Scope of Work.
6. Lastly, regarding the RFQ submission, we want to ensure our proposal is as comprehensive and specific as possible. Could you please advise on your preferred method of receiving the RFQ?
Response: This informaon is outlined in Solicitaon 2031ZA24B00006 page 4 of 31 - Secon 00100 - Instrucons, Condions, and Noces to Offerors/Bidders. “Proposals can be submitted via e-mail at brandy.idemudia@bep.gov.”
7. "Based on the bid document, there are 2 buildings that would need film applied:
• The Atrium Building with 118 fixed window panels and 4 entry / exit doors totaling
3,294 square feet of glass. All of this glass will be coated with 8-mil clear security / blast protective film. The film will be attached to the window frames with a wet-seal system of Dow Corning 995 structural sealant on all 4 sides of each panel. This installation will meet or exceed GSA Level 3B as specified in the bid document.
• The Vehicle Inspection Building (Building 8900) with 11 fixed panels totaling 257 square feet of glass. All of this glass will be coated with a dual reflective / night vision solar control film providing 85% glare reduction and 69% solar energy reduction.

Amendment 001
Section 4.4 of the bid document is a little confusing. This section seems to refer to the Vehicle Inspection Building but references the square footage of The Atrium Building. Are my assumptions, stated above, correct? Or, is there more glass in The Vehicle Inspection Building than the referenced 11 panels? Response: The way it is described in the solicitation document is correct.
