Questions and Answers Currency Packaging Film Solicitation 2031ZA20R00030 0001

1. Is our offer/bid should be on the entire list of items provided by you or could only be on some positions?

The Entire list

2. Is the price for the film rolls door-to-door?

Yes.

3. We are in Illinois. If we awarded contract, where will we be delivering in Fort Worth, TX or Washington, DC?

Both Locations

4. The title references “Bundle Band” as well but I believe there is no Bundle Band requirement here, is that correct?

This solicitation does not involve Bundle Bands. Bundle bands should be removed from the title.

5. While there is a very broad contract minimum and maximum dollar amount shown, there are no annual roll quantity estimates for each item. Can that be provided? Or, at least, historical volume for each item?

Below is a chart showing shipments of films from July 1, 2016 – March 31, 2017. The shipments do not account for the inventory at BEP during this time period.

DCF – Packaging Film Shipments

WCF – Packaging Film Shipments

6. There are two items shown on the schedule of items and prices that are not part of the specifications. They are #’s 1L002040 and 1L002041. Could we get descriptions for those or should they not be there?

These line items should be deleted.

7. The line item numbers may need adjusting. #0014 appears multiple times and in multiple periods.

For Pricing for WCF purposes, the CLIN shall start 0015 through 0027; 1015 through

1027; etc

8 In Table III of the specifications, you indicate a width range for the rolls (min. vs max.)

but are more specific in Table I. Table III also shows a weight range for the rolls but a specific number for linear feet per roll. For the Cash-Pak rolls, a 900’ roll, 40” wide, the weight would be far less than the 150 lb maximum weight shown and there is no minimum.

Since you are asking for pricing per roll, can you specify a target weight per roll upon which to base our price for the versions below?

1. 21.25” SW – Currency Bundle

2. 22.25” SW – Currency Brick

3. 9.65” CF – Centerfold Bundle

4. 11.13” CF – Centerfold Brick

5. 40” SW – Cash Pak

The BEP will review the data on the materials that the Offeror provides. If they are within the requirements listed in the specification, they will be evaluated further. We will not specify a “target weight per roll.” Price negotiations occur well beyond material performance and evaluations on packaging equipment.

9 was reaching regarding the Solicitation that released on Thursday to find out what the incumbent contract #s are for this work. Would you be able to provide?
