Question 3- The Alto shuttle will store altos at the maximum size of 1030mm [40.55”] x 908mm
[35.75”] and weight approximately 20 lbs each. (one per tray) -- It was discovered during the walk through that the plates are protected by a cardboard sheet on the front and back of each plate. Because the cardboard is not precisely lined up the width and depth of each plate can vary. Can we consider the minimum clear inside dimension for the Altos is 36”x 41” and room to lift the plate out of the tray is required so the dimension of the tray needs to be larger than the Alto plate? One per tray would indicate that the Altos can not be stacked one on top of another. Is this correct? If so, can we provide an optional unit that would store two plates per tray side by side? If the assure is yes can we have an additional five pages to describe this option?
Answer 3- Alto size can be considered to be 36” x 41” and another ½” can be added to be able to lift the plate out so 36 ½” x 41 ½” would be optimal. We do not want to have Alto’s stacked due to possible damage, so yes, two plates side by side is an option we will consider.
