About this file

This document is a Government Response to Industry Questions for the Modernization of Scientific and Technical Intelligence (S&TI) Prototype Effort, issued by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on 30 September 2026. The memorandum addresses a clarification question regarding the period of performance and rough order of magnitude (ROM) pricing structure for the prototype effort.

The Government clarifies that the overall projected total period of performance is 48 months. In response to industry confusion about whether the effort would extend to 60 months, the Government specifies that it requests two separate ROMs: one covering the initial 12-month period and a second ROM for the remaining 36 months (months 13-48). This structure allows the Government to evaluate prototype feasibility and costs in two distinct phases within the consolidated 48-month performance window. No specific response deadline, contract vehicle type, or award date is identified in this clarification document.
