Project completion dates are specified on the design drawings.
Bidders must submit a 5 percent bid security in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, or money order with their proposals and may not withdraw bids for thirty days following the bid opening. All bids must be accompanied by sworn and notarized affidavits of familial disclosure in compliance with Michigan law and certification of compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. The district will apply a Michigan-based business preference of the lesser value of 5 percent or $10,000 when evaluating awards. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, accept bids other than the lowest bid, and waive any informalities or errors deemed in its best interest. All proposals shall include all labor and materials required for project completion.

2026 LISD CONSTRUCTION/RENOVATION PROJECTS
Ad for Bids
CONSTRUCTION/RENOVATION PROJECTS:
The Lenawee Intermediate School District will receive sealed bid proposals for three construction/renovation projects as follows:
-Asphalt Paving Project:
-Porter Center Campus
-Flooring Project:
-Porter Center Campus
-Main Building (Two Rooms) -Building 3 (One Room)
-Tecumseh Middle School (One Room) -Tech Center Campus
-Tech North (Two Rooms) -East Building (Three Rooms) -PREP Academy (previously Telamon Bld.)
-Telamon Window Replacement:
All proposals shall include all labor and materials.
A mandatory pre-bid walk through for interested parties is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2026, as follows:
-Asphalt Paving Project: Starting at 1:30 p.m. at the Porter Center, Building 3, 2946 Sutton Rd, Adrian, MI.
-Flooring Project: Starting at 2:15 p.m. at the Porter Center, Building 3, 2946 Sutton Rd,, Adrian, MI. (Then will proceed to Tecumseh MS, then to the Tech Center Campus)
-Telamon Window Replacement Project: Starting at 3:30 p.m. at the Telamon Building, located at the LISD Tech Center Campus, 1372 North Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI.
All proposals shall be mailed or delivered to the William J. Ross Education Service Center, 4107 North Adrian Highway, Adrian MI. attention Tom Kasefang. Proposals must be received prior to 10:00 am on Monday, March 23, 2026, and will be opened and read aloud at a meeting open to the public. All bids will be evaluated after the bid opening. All bids received after the bid receipt deadline will be returned unopened. Facsimile bids will not be accepted.
The bidders shall read and review the Bidding specifications carefully and familiarize themselves thoroughly with all requirements.

A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) is required and must be submitted with the bid prior to the bid due date. The Bid Security may be in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashier’s Check, or Money Order. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the bid date.
Additional bond requirements are listed in the bid specifications.
All bidders shall provide familial disclosure in compliance with MCL 380.1267. All bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education of the Lenawee Intermediate School District (“LISD”), or the superintendent of the LISD. A form will be enclosed in the specification’s booklet that shall be used for this purpose.
A sworn and notarized Affidavit of compliance for the Iran Economic Sanctions Act certifying the contractor does and will comply with Public Act 517 of 2012 shall accompany all proposals. The Owner will not accept a proposal that does not include a sworn and notarized Affidavit of Compliance for the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. A form will be enclosed in the specification’s booklet that shall be used for this purpose.

A Michigan based business preference of the lesser value of 5% or $10,000 will apply in determining awards. Project Completion Dates for each project are given on the design drawings.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, accept a bid other than the low bid, and to waive informalities, irregularities and/or errors in the bid proposals which they feel to be in their own best interest.
