NOTICE OF INTENT TO PURCHASE SINGLE/SOLE SOURCE

Commodities and/or Contractual Services

iConnect HVAC Training Units

NOTE: RESPONSES RECEIVED AFTER THE DUE DATE AND TIME WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Directions: The commodities and/or services described herein intended for purchase from a single/sole source is posted in accordance with 6A-1.012(12)(d) Florida Administrative Code (FAC) and will remain posted for a period of at least seven

(7) business days. Unless a response to the contrary with sufficient information is received from companies by the due date and time that provide sufficient information regarding prospective vendor’s ability to supply the commodities and/or services, a recommendation will be made to the School Board to approve the purchase of the listed commodities and/or services on the basis that they are single/sole source to the vendor listed and are exempted as defined by FAC. Completed Acknowledgement Form with all reference material must be submitted online via VendorLink. The School Board reserves the right to decide the equivalence of the product or service proposed.

Description of Product or Services to be provided:

Southern Educational Systems is the authorized distributor for North Park Innovtions Group within the state of Florida to provide the following iConnect training systems:

iConnect Training Unit Model #TU-601 Multi-Head Mini Heat Pump Training Unit’s function is to provide students with hands-on training and complete understanding of operational ductless comfort cooling system.

iConnect Training Unit Model #TU-620 HVAC Motor & Airflow Training Unit provides hands-on training and understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning air flow management and troubleshooting.

The requested training systems provide features and capabilities necessary to fully meet the state’s competency-based education standards and the training requirements for the district’s technical college HVAC Program through hands-on training for operating, servicing, maintaining and troubleshooting mini-split air-conditioning systems, electrical systems, motors, mechanical systems and air distribution systems.

Estimated Annual Expenditure: $49,970.00

Decisions pertaining to this single/sole source are valid for a one-time purchase after approval.

Failure to file a protest within the time prescribed in section 120.57(3), Florida Statutes, or failure to post the bond or other security required by law within the time allowed for filing a bond shall constitute a waiver of proceedings under chapter 120, Florida Statutes.
