About this file
This is a Contractor Questions and Answers document issued by Morgan Community College (MCC) in Fort Morgan, Colorado, addressing clarifications for two related capital projects: 2026-101 STEM Project Renovations and 2026-102 Mi Casa Career Center. The projects involve facility renovations including library areas, LRC carpet replacement, security device reinstallation, and fire alarm system work. Key responsibilities are defined between the contractor and owner, including teledata cabling and device installation by the owner with contractor-provided pathway infrastructure, contractor reinstallation of security devices in coordination with MCC's security vendor Multicard, and library shelving and book movement duties distributed between parties. Asbestos testing is being completed by MCC with any required abatement handled by the owner. The bid opening is scheduled for April 8, 2026, at 10:15 a.m. MST in room CO104, and contractors must include the bid alternate form for eligibility consideration on the Mi Casa Career Center project.
Denver Fire Alarm is designated as the required vendor for all fire alarm contracting work on both projects. Addendum No. 01 has been issued for the 2026-102 project specifically addressing LRC carpet replacement as an add alternate scope. Contractors should note that the preferred method for shelving and book movement under the add alternate is through a wrap-and-jack subcontractor approach, coordinated with the owner on removal and storage. Complete addendum documents and additional project information are available on bidnetdirect.com/colorado/mcc.
