Airport Insurance Brokerage Services RFP Summary

This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) document issued by Winchester Regional Airport in Virginia for comprehensive insurance brokerage services. The RFP seeks qualified insurance brokers to provide professional brokerage representation and risk management services for the airport's insurance portfolio. Proposals are due by the specified deadline outlined in the RFP, with the contract award anticipated to follow the evaluation and selection process. The contract term and any renewal options are to be determined based on the proposals received and subsequent negotiations with the selected broker. A pre-proposal meeting or site visit may be conducted to allow bidders to familiarize themselves with the airport's operations and insurance needs.

The RFP establishes specific pricing and service requirements that proposing firms must address in their submissions. The scope includes duties such as reviewing current coverage, identifying coverage gaps, obtaining competitive quotes from multiple carriers, and providing ongoing risk management consulting. The airport may consider factors such as the incumbent broker's performance, current market conditions in aviation insurance, and the specific funding and budgetary constraints applicable to airport operations when evaluating proposals. Interested brokers should note any required qualifications, experience with airport or aviation accounts, and specific capabilities in handling the complexities of municipal airport insurance programs.
