About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file related to a flatbed printer procurement for the Senate. The Q&A reveals that the trade-in printer is 79" wide, but the doorway is only 66.5", which is firm. Previous vendors have suggested using a "Tilt-n-go" device to maneuver the printer through the restricted entryway. The installation location is specified as the Dirksen Senate Office Building, Room SDG-82. The intended use of the printer is for quick printing of various materials including charts, PVC, plexi-glass, window cling, and vinyl banners for Senate Offices and the Senate Floor.

Question Response

The trade in printer is 79" wide, however you do indicate the doorway size is 66.5". Can you tell me if the doorway is firm and can't be widened?

The doorway is firm. Previous vendors have used a device called a Tilt-n-go.

There is a reference of a tilt-n-go. Perhaps this is a rigging device for getting that machine in through that door that someone has offered or suggested.

Can you confirm that?

Yes, that is correct.

3 What is the installation address for the flatbed printer? Dirksen Senate Office Building, Room SDG-82.

Can you give us an idea of what you'd like to do with the equipment, such as what types of materials you're interested in printing or what you're looking to produce?

Quick printing of charts, PVC, plexi-glass, window cling, vinyl banners and more for Senate Offices and the Senate Floor.
