The solicitation involves purchasing and installing fifty-five (55) 48" W x 30" D fixed work surface tables for the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Hanscom Air Force Base. Key specifications include standard 30" fixed height tables with tan/wood-colored High Pressure Laminate (HPL) tabletops, dark-colored (black or gray) metal modesty panels, and cable management via a basket system. Installation will occur during regular hours on the first floor of a secure facility with a 12" loading dock, and no union labor, hard hats, or powered tables are required. The nonmanufacturer rule applies to this bid, and the agency intentionally did not provide a reference image to avoid limiting potential offers.

Lantern High Bay Computer Table Refresh Questions & Answers
Q. Does the nonmanufacturer rule apply to this bid?
A. Yes, the nonmanufacturer rule does apply to this bid
Q. What is the table height?
A. Standard 30” height. We are looking for the tables to be fixed, not adjustable
Q. Can the modesty panel be white metal with black edging?
Q. Should the modesty panel be metal or laminate to match the table top?
A. We would prefer a dark-colored (black or gray) metal modesty panel—more durable and less susceptible to getting dirty.
Q. What are the tan/wood color tops? Plastic Laminate with matching edging?
A. Yes, plastic laminate with matching edging
Q. Is there easy access to these rooms?
Q. Does the building that is receiving the elevator have a loading dock?
A. We have a 12” loading dock (Truck with liftgate would be ideal, if now we can arrange for a forklift) and then double doors into the facility where the tables will be installed.
Q. Does the building have an elevator to the required space? Or, is a stair carry needed in any situation?
A. The tables will be installed on the first floor of the facility. No elevator/stairs necessary.
Q. Are hard hats required?
A. No hard hats necessary.
Q. Can installation and deliver by performed on regular hours or, is overtime required?
A. Installation/Delivery can be performed during regular hours. The facility will be closed to users during installation.
Q. Can the labor type be open shop or, is use of union labor required?
A. There is no union labor requirement for this contract.
Q. Do you need power in the table? If so, what is needed?
A. No, the tables themselves don’t need to be powered.
Q. Can you confirm that the tabletop should be in a High Pressure Laminate (HPL)?
A. HPL tabletop would be acceptable.
Q. Cable management? Are you looking for plastic cable clips or more or a basket?
A. More of a basket.
Q. Are the grommets and the wire trough part of your cable management line item?
A. The cable management requirement was intentionally left somewhat vague to allow for different cable management variations or methods. We just need a table that will provide cable management, so that workstations are kept neater and more organized. Grommets and a wire trough would be an acceptable solution.
Q. An image was not provided with this solicitation, will one be provided?
A. We do not intend on providing an image as we do not want to limit or unduly influence the offers.
Q. Is the space a secured space/SCIF?
A. The space is a secure area, not a SCIF. The facility will be closed and no classified processing will occur during installation.
