About this file

This is a bid schedule for the 2025 Tree Planting Project at the Spruce Pine Site, a Commonwealth of Virginia initiative located in Buchanan County, Virginia on reclaimed abandoned mine lands approximately 1.6 miles northwest of the Pilgrims Knob community. The project requires tree planting services on a site with typical slopes of 2:1 and variable soil conditions ranging from shallow rocky soils to loose uncompacted material. The bid schedule itemizes two line items: tree planting labor and trees, each specified in quantities of 28 bundles of 100 units. Bidders must provide unit prices for labor and trees, with payment to be made on actual units used and verified in the field.

Pricing must be submitted on a firm basis, with the total bid price used to establish contract award value and determine performance and payment bond requirements. Bidders submitting bids of $100,000 or more are required to submit a bid bond. Any bidder entering $0 as a unit price or leaving the unit price blank will be deemed nonresponsive. In case of price extension errors, the unit price shall govern. Bidders are cautioned that correct pricing is critical and should be double-checked before submission.
