About this file

Addendum 1 for Bid #2025-MAR-002 is issued by the City of Newport, Rhode Island, modifying the original Request for Proposal for a Small Boat Mooring Field project. The addendum revises the original scope from installing 20 moorings to installing 10 moorings in the Spindle area of Newport Inner Harbor. The moorings are intended for vessels (power and sail) up to 25 feet in length, situated in an area with water depths ranging from 5 feet at low tide to 10 feet at high tide.

The addendum includes a critical specification requiring all chains and shackles to be American-made, which may impact bidder selection and manufacturing requirements. No additional details are provided about pricing, funding sources, or contract terms beyond the scope modification and material origin requirement. The document appears to be a minor amendment to the original solicitation, focusing primarily on reducing the number of moorings and establishing a domestic manufacturing mandate for key mooring components.
