About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for the City of Delafield's 2025 Classification and Compensation Study RFP, updated February 10, 2025. The study will cover 63 employees (including summer seasonal staff) across 19 job classifications/titles. The consultant will be required to conduct a custom salary survey of comparable municipalities in southern Wisconsin, develop a scoring rubric to determine relevant comparison communities, and meet with management and employees via Zoom or phone.

The document clarifies that while a previous 2003 project included comparable municipalities, the consultant must identify new comparable communities and create an objective scoring rubric. The city specifically requests a custom salary survey rather than using existing State of Wisconsin Municipal League data. The consultant will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data about surrounding communities, including factors such as population, density, square miles, budgets, and taxes received.
