About this file

This document is Addendum #1 for Bid #2025-42A issued by the Niagara County Department of Management & Budget, Division of Purchasing, for Medical Equipment and Supplies for Niagara County Emergency Medical Services. The addendum addresses ten specific questions from potential bidders regarding the bid, including clarifications about glove order quantities (approximately 3 cases/30 boxes yearly for Medium and Large sizes, and 1 case/10 boxes yearly for Small and X-Large sizes), packaging specifications for gauze and stretch gauze (individually wrapped sterile packaging), and details about restraint straps (9ft Orange restraint strap and 5ft Back board strap, both seat belt style with reusable metal push button buckle made of Nylon).

The addendum provides guidance on submitting alternate or substitution items, particularly for "No Exception" items marked as Curaplex. Bidders are instructed that alternate offers may be included in a separate, clearly identified section of the proposal, with detailed explanations of how proposed alternatives differ from the original specifications. The county maintains discretion to consider such alternatives if they do not substantially deviate from the original intent and are in the best interest of the county. Requests for previous contract information must be submitted through the Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) process to the Niagara County Legislative Office, rather than through the RFP question process.
