About this file
This document is a Contractor Qualification Form for a state and local contract opportunity issued by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for the Chosen Valley Wildlife Management Area Grassland and Oak Savanna Restoration project. The contract requires the selected prime contractor to perform hand mechanical cutting, chemical stump treatment, and foliar spraying of unwanted woody vegetation on approximately 170 acres across eight treatment sites in Fillmore County, Minnesota. Prospective bidders must demonstrate prior experience as a prime contractor for similar large-scale vegetation management projects of at least 100 acres within the past 48 months. Additional requirements include possessing a current Minnesota Commercial Pesticide Applicators License and not having had a contract terminated for cause in the last 36 months. Bids must be submitted electronically through the Swift Portal by the deadline, and award will be made to the lowest responsible vendor meeting the specifications.
The contract requires the selected vendor to provide all labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and other incidentals necessary to complete the project. Pricing must be submitted on a unit price basis and include all associated costs. A direct pay permit does not apply to this project. The State reserves the right to award items separately, by grouping, or by total, whichever is deemed most advantageous.
