About this file

The document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Candler County Board of Commissioners for a generator set replacement project at the Candler County Sheriff's Office and Detention Center. The RFP seeks a qualified vendor to provide, deliver, and install a new 60KW, 120/208v Three Phase diesel generator, which includes the removal and proper disposal of the existing generator. Proposals are due by 3:00 p.m. on May 9, 2025, and vendors are strongly encouraged to visit the site before bidding. The project requires a comprehensive solution encompassing equipment supply, removal of the old unit, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning, with minimal downtime due to the critical nature of backup power for the Detention Center.

The technical specifications call for a diesel-powered generator with a weather-resistant housing, 24-hour diesel tank, block heater, and battery charger, along with a minimum 24-month comprehensive warranty. Vendors must submit detailed proposals including company profile, generator specifications, removal methodology, project timeline, cost breakdown, and proof of insurance. Evaluation criteria will focus on compliance with technical specifications, vendor experience, cost-effectiveness, project timeline, and warranty support. The RFP includes two add alternate options: one for additional features like noise suppression and remote monitoring, and another for extended warranty periods. Candler County reserves the right to accept proposals in whole or in part and to reject all proposals, with proposal pricing to remain effective for 30 days from the due date.
