About this file
This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Southeast Macomb Sanitary District (SEMSD) for Air Compressor Service and Maintenance. The RFP solicits bids for servicing and maintaining compressor systems at five different facilities located in Macomb Township, St. Clair Shores, and Grosse Pointe, Michigan. The bid includes options for quarterly and annual maintenance of existing compressors, as well as the potential replacement of the compressor at the Site 9/9A Landfill. Bids are due on February 19, 2025, with a two-year contract term and pricing to be held firm for the entire period. The contract may be cancelled with 30 days written notice, and bidders are required to submit three references and Material Safety Data Sheets.
The RFP specifies detailed maintenance requirements, including oil sampling, filter replacements, and equipment inspections. Bidders must provide pricing for a new compressor at the landfill site, with specifications requiring a variable speed drive and the ability to supply over 100 psi at 130 cfm. The Southeast Macomb Sanitary District is tax-exempt and requires bidders to submit a certificate of liability insurance naming the district and its subcontractors as additional insured. The district reserves the right to award bids based on individual items or the entire list, reject any or all bids, and select the bid most advantageous to SEMSD, which may not necessarily be the lowest-priced proposal.
