About this file

This document is a Request for Bid (RFB) from Dane County Waste and Renewables in Wisconsin for a Landfill Alternative Daily Cover Tarp System. The solicitation includes a Base Bid and an Alternate Bid for a tarp deployment system compatible with specific equipment (DEERE 850L LGP and/or Bomag BC1173 RB-5), covering an anticipated daily area of 200 feet x 150 feet with a minimum tarp width of 30 feet. The contract term spans five years from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2029, with the initial term including all five years and potential renewal options. The project requires a complete system including spool assembly, wireless remote control, installation, training, and a five-year warranty.

The pricing proposal includes detailed line items for the tarp deployment system, spool assembly, remote control, tarps, installation, training, warranty, and optional system service and maintenance. The Base Bid requires one complete system, with four spool assemblies, and the Alternate Bid requests a minimum of 6,000 square feet of additional tarps. Vendors are asked to provide additional information such as tarp material specifications, replacement costs, expected lifespan, equipment compatibility, installation details, and service capabilities. The county has identified specific vendors to be notified, including SWS Sales Co., Tarpomatic, Belton Industries, Pac-Tech, BTL Liners, and Western Liner, to ensure comprehensive market outreach for this landfill equipment procurement.

· Hourly rate pricing may be acceptable in some scenarios as well.

· If applicable, Purchasing will add a Unit Cost and/or Total Cost column to the Final Pricing Table.

· Optional? Column – if an item listed is optional (not required for vendors to provide as part of the bid), then type “Yes” into the OPTIONAL column field for that item. This could be additional accessories or optional equipment add-ons, etc.
