About this file
This is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) from the Town of Fairfield, Connecticut, specifically its Department of Public Works (DPW), soliciting competitive bids for stair repair and replacement at the Transfer Station Facility located at 530 Richard White Way. The project requires qualified contractors to provide comprehensive labor, materials, tools, and equipment to repair and replace existing metal stairs, maintaining the current configuration while upgrading to current OSHA standards. The bidding period runs from October 21, 2022, to November 8, 2022, with a non-mandatory pre-bid site meeting scheduled for October 27, 2022, at 1:00 PM. Vendor questions will be accepted from October 21, 2022, to November 1, 2022, and prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site meeting and sign in upon arrival.
The solicitation is open to all vendors and does not specify any set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements. Delivery terms are Free On Board Destination, with payment terms to be specified by the vendor. No estimated total value is provided, and there are no details about specific funding sources or budget constraints. The procurement appears to follow a comprehensive, lump-sum pricing approach, expecting vendors to submit complete bids covering all aspects of the stair repair and replacement work. The document does not mention any incumbent vendors or current contractors, suggesting a competitive and open bidding process for potential contractors interested in the project.
