Subject: City of Eugene RFP 2022200007 Parks and Open Space Irrigation System Assessment and Master Plan
Addendum 1
The solicitation referenced above is updated & amended as follows:
Responses to questions received prior to 3:00 PM on December 7:
Is water usage information available?
Yes, we can get approximately park or median (meter) level data on water use from our facilities staff. Some of our systems have more fine-grained data available but not system wide.
Is GIS data for existing systems available?
Yes, we have feature services for the irrigated portions of parks and medians with points and lines and many associated attributes. Here is a screen shot as an example.
Has COE considered using recycled “purple pipe” water?
Yes. Our partners with the Metropolitan Wastewater Commission are embarking on a project to facilitate distribution of Class A recycled water for pilot uses. There are several parks in close proximity to the wastewater plant that would be good candidates.
Other methods of rain collection and gray water use are of interest but are thought to be a challenge in our climate with most rain falling in the winter making water storage a potential issue. We are interested in exploring that though.
Can you provide either the number of irrigated acres or the number of parks that have irrigation? The list of developed parks shows a number that have natural areas; how many parks are involved in the assessment?
There are approximately 500 acres of irrigated park land and 14 acres of medians to be evaluated in this study.
All other specifications, terms, and conditions remain unchanged.
