2. Contractor will follow up clearing the stoppage and clean the sewer line by running a full knife (pear blade) of the same nominal diameter from the stoppage to SASD’s sewer line. No other size or type of cutter may be used without the authorization from the County representative. When using jet-rodder equipment to clear a sewer line blockage, where street accessibility to the sewer maintenance hole is available, contractor shall use a Standard or
Penetrator type nozzle in order to penetrate and clear the blockage only. Contractor shall adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures provided in the California Collection System Collaborative
Benchmarking Group Best Practices Manual: Hydro-flush Cleaning of Small-Diameter Sewers, available through the California Water Environment Association.
3. Contractor must provide its own power source to operate sewer-cleaning equipment. For example, if electric cabling equipment is used, the Contractor may use a gas-powered generator as its power source. Such power source shall be provided by the Contractor and included in the hourly rates.

If after working a maximum of one hour on a sewer line, the Contractor is unable to clear the stoppage and/or cleanup any overflow mess caused by the stoppage, Contractor shall notify the

2. Call the SASD for assistance.
Response Time: Contractor will be expected to respond to all County service call requests as rapidly as possible. The County recognizes that response times are occasionally affected by factors beyond the control of the Contractor. However, Contractor is required to respond to all emergency calls within 90 minutes of the initial service call request.
If Contractor is unable to respond to an emergency service call request within 90 minutes, Contractor must immediately notify the County representative when the call is received. If
Contractor accepts an emergency service call request but does not respond within 90 minutes, the
County may declare the Contractor to be in default and terminate the contract after three incidents.
The County will measure response time from the time of the initial service call request to the time the Contractor arrives at the site of the blockage.

1. Contractor shall arrive at the job site with the appropriate equipment and the ability to clean:
