About this file
The document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Town of Fairfield on behalf of Fairfield Public Schools, soliciting proposals for a comprehensive Food Service Management Company (FSMC) program. The district seeks a fully operational food service provider to serve seventeen school facilities, including eleven elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools, and one alternative high school, with a student and staff population of approximately 9,200 and 1,550 respectively. A mandatory pre-bid conference was scheduled for April 7, 2022, at 11:00 am, with the solicitation open from April 1 to May 3, 2022, and a vendor Q&A period running from April 1 to April 12, 2022. The contract term is one year, from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023, with an option for four additional one-year renewals.
The RFP is open to all vendors, with no specific set-aside designations or restrictions. Delivery terms are specified as Free On Board Destination, and payment terms are to be vendor-specified. No incumbent vendor information is provided, and the estimated total contract value is not disclosed. The solicitation has been designated as having no line items, suggesting vendors should provide comprehensive pricing for the entire food service operation. The primary contact for questions and submissions is Lee Flaherty from the Town of Fairfield, and interested firms are expected to submit proposals demonstrating their capability to manage a full-scale food service program for this multi-school district.
