Questions Received Against 20201222038 Mercedes Infrastructure Cabling Upgrade

1. Are there any current plans or drawings reflecting where the Cat6 cables are to be installed in each building?

No current plans or drawings exist however, we do provide photos in the Scope and have pictures from the last site survey (see end of SOW). There are also narratives provided within the scope that explains that each workstation location will need two sets of cables (data/voip). The recommended site visit should accurately reveal all locations.

2. How many cables will be at each location? Single, Dual?

If this is related to the Data/VOIP jack connections, there will be two at each work station one for data and one for VoIP

3. Are there any drawings that show the conduit pathways between buildings?

No, the scope of work does include an image where the conduit pathways are most likely to be. The site visit recommended within the Scope will reveal exact locations.

4. What size conduit currently runs between the buildings?

Unknown, however the site visit recommended by the Scope will reveal the conduit size.

5. Is the Gov’t open to suggestions in regard to the wall mountable cabinets for the warehouse and personnel buildings? The amount of equipment specified for those cabinets will exceed the RU’s available in the models listed in the SOW.

The government is acceptable to these changes if power and cooling is considered (no AC in the area where the current equipment is kept).
