About this file

This is a question and answer document issued by Portage County, Wisconsin's Purchasing Department in response to vendor inquiries regarding Request for Bid (RFB) 2020-08 for Road Materials. The document addresses a formatting discrepancy where bid documents contained outdated headers referencing the previous year's bid number (2019-06) instead of the current bid designation (2020-08). Portage County clarified that vendors may submit bids using either the original document layout with the old header or the updated version, provided that all material required by the RFB specifications is included in the submission. The RFB seeks to establish contracts for the purchase of road materials for the Highway Department during 2020.

No additional information regarding pricing terms, contract duration, award dates, quantities, response deadlines, or other material contract conditions is contained in this document.

Questions from Vendors & Answers from Portage County

1. I noticed your bid #2020-08 for road materials this year still has a header showing bid #2019-06 on each page. Is that something you want to fix, or should I fill it out the way it is?

Answer: Portage County will accept either the old layout or the updated version provided all the material required is present in your bid.
