About this file

This document is a Request for Response (RFR) issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) seeking testing and certification services for IGT's Intelligen Central Monitoring System (CMS). The MGC has contracted with IGT to configure, install, and operate the Intelligen CMS to monitor up to 20,000 electronic gaming devices (EGDs) at the Plainridge Park Casino. The MGC is requesting a detailed proposal from MGC Certified Independent Testing Laboratories to evaluate the Intelligen CMS, confirm its compliance with various technical requirements, and provide a written report certifying the system's functionality and integrity for the regulation of EGDs in accordance with MGC regulations.

The RFR outlines 18 specific areas of evaluation, including confirming the CMS's ability to support the maximum number of EGDs, proper utilization of gaming industry protocols, command and control capabilities, compatibility with various slot machine manufacturers, signature validation and auditing, network redundancy, invoicing, progressive slot machine support, and user access controls. The selected laboratory will be required to validate the CMS's compliance with these requirements and identify any findings that could materially impact the system's operation for the purposes of EGD regulation.
