Pricing must be quoted as net, including transportation charges on an F.O.B. basis to various statewide destinations, and prices must remain firm for the contract duration. Orders of $5,000 or less will be emailed as PDF files directly to vendors, while larger orders must be approved by the Division of Purchases' Buyers through the AdvantageME system. The State of Maine Procurement Card must be accepted as payment with no surcharges permitted. Vendors must provide current Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) in compliance with Maine chemical substance identification law, and separate invoices are required for each order. The state reserves the right to cancel the contract with thirty days' written notice or immediately if terms are not met. Contract extension beyond the stated expiration date is possible with the Director of Purchases' consent if pricing and terms remain unchanged. Vendors are asked whether they will extend contract pricing to Maine political subdivisions and school districts at the quoted rates.
