Questions and Answers in reponse to RFP 2011-N-13721 May 4, 2011

1. It appears that it would be a 5 year contract?

Answer: YES, 5 YEARS.

1. The solicitation makes it clear that there should be sufficient personnel to carry this out (sufficient time for PI, study coordinator, data manager/analyst, prevention specialist), but I’m not clear on whether the CDC will expect to pay for all these staff through the contract as well as other materials/equipment needed?

Answer; THESE POSITIONS SHOULD BE BUDGETED IN THE CONTRACT

1. Is there a maximal amount of award money per year or for the total 5 years of a contract?

Answer: We do not provide the amount of funding that will be available

1. Will the CDC be providing the computers for the computer-based interventions/screening?

Answer: THESE COMPUTERS SHOULD BE BUDGETED IN THE CONTRACT

1. Is there a theoretical framework used for the development of the intervention, or is there somewhere where we can get more information on what it consists of?

Answer: YES, BUT CDC AND NIMH WILL BE DEVELOPING THE INTERVENTIONS. IT IS NOT EXPECTED THAT OFFERORS WILL PROPOSE INTERVENTIONS OR PROVIDE THEORETICAL BACKGROUND.

1. Can money be included to cover “referrals to case managers, social workers, or psychologists,” since the screening will identify more patients who need care than were being identified previously?

Answer: NO
