Questions & Answers – Amendment 1
February 8, 2018
Q1. Will DHS provide parking accommodations for the mobile shredding truck near the Tom Bradley International Terminal at the time of service in that area?
A1. DHS does not provide parking accommodations. The parking at LAX Airport is mandated by the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) group. There is currently a designated parking area authorized by LAWA for the time of service, although not necessarily in close proximity to the terminal where the containers are located.
Q2. Any idea on how long it currently takes your service provider to service all (25) 64-gallon security containers at the time of service?
A2. The time it takes to services each location will vary, but an average estimate is as follows:
Tom Bradley International Terminal/LAX - 90 minutes Security Seals - 15 minutes Cargo Building - 35 minutes
Q3. Who is your current service provider for this contract?
A3. Information concerning the incumbent/prior contract(or) (HSBP1013P00084) for Secure Document Shredding Services supporting CBP/ OFO-Los Angeles IAP/Cargo Facility is publically available at a number of websites to include FedBizOpps.gov. Additionally, the following link is to a site with excellent information regarding that contract(or):

Q4. In your bidding requirements, you ask for additional attachments, #3 being an itemized pricing breakout. How do we submit that when the bid process is similar to an auction and pricing can be lowered up until the bid deadline?
A4. The requirement to “provide an attachment with itemized pricing by location” as part of an prospective offeror’s quotation/proposal submission has been removed, in it’s entirety, from the solicitation.
