Questions & Responses RFQ 2008-Q-10538 Questions & Responses

Health Registry of Gulf Coast Temporary Housing Unit Residents

6/13/2008

Question 1: Is any travel contemplated by the government that should be included in the quote?

Response 1a: Yes, one overnight trip per month should be included in the quote for a total of six (6) trips - see response 1c below.

If so, what can the government say about how much travel there will be and how frequently it will occur?

Response 1b: Once per month as noted above.

Also, what destinations might be involved?

Response 1c: Washington, DC - 2 trips; New Orleans, Louisiana - 2 trips; one undetermined location in Mississippi - 1 trip; one additional trip at an undetermined location in the U.S. As the resulting purchase order will be firm-fixed-price (FFP), offerors should price the travel accordingly.

Would there be, for example, travel to meet with FEMA officials in Washington, Regional or local FEMA officials, and/or to visit other State and local officials involved in the Katrina response?

Response 1d: Yes.

Question 2: Would there be a need to communicate with members of the community involved in the storm (or in the response), or perhaps members of the communications media?

Response 2a: No, this will be handled by the Government representative.

Would there be any travel for this purpose outside of Mississippi or Louisiana, for example, to other areas where Katrina victims may have resettled?

Response 2b: Perhaps, however the contractor will not be responsible for such travel requirements. The government will provide for such travel separately.

NOTE: an Amendment to the RFQ is posted to reflect travel requirements described herein. All offerors must acknowledge receipt of Amendment 0001 in acccordance the instructions explained in SF 30, block 11.
