About this file

This is Amendment #1 to Request for Bid (RFB) 20-0056 issued by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Purchasing Services for the procurement of a nonhuman primate rack and cage washer. The amendment adds Attachment H, which includes CAD drawings of existing facility plans, room drawings, and photographs of an existing rail system from another building to assist vendors with understanding the installation environment. The amendment also expands Attachment C to include a dedicated section for optional additional items. Bidders must acknowledge receipt and compliance with this amendment; failure to return the amendment documentation will result in the assumption that the original bid meets all amendment conditions. Bid prices and terms are firm for sixty (60) days from the date of bid opening. The primary deliverable consists of one nonhuman primate rack and cage washer meeting specifications outlined in Attachment B, with optional line items for training, shipping, and installation if not included in equipment pricing.

Pricing for the primary equipment item, training, and shipping/installation must be itemized on the revised Attachment C. Optional pricing items include first-, second-, and third-year service contracts covering software updates and upgrades following warranty expiration, quoted as firm annual costs. Vendors may also propose optional accessories, upgrades, and consumables necessary for equipment operation. Consumable pricing should be held firm for one year from the delivery date, with annual increases limited to a maximum specified percentage over a five-year period. All bids must include utility requirements specifications for installation and operation. Attachment H provides detailed technical information regarding existing infrastructure, including notes that all effluent is tempered before entering the city sewer and that alkaline and acid cycle temperatures are not guaranteed but could be configured as needed.
