About this file
This document is a comprehensive project specification prepared by Walker Consultants for Mott Community College's Ramp G Demolition and Surface Lot Reconstruction project located in Flint, Michigan. The project involves the complete demolition of an existing multi-story parking structure, including removal of walls, columns, and foundation elements to a depth of 10 feet below grade. The scope encompasses structural demolition, site restoration, utility disconnection, new surface lot reconstruction, riprap installation, seeding, and associated site improvements. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2025, with project number 20-002615.00, and requires comprehensive demolition, earthwork, concrete, electrical, and landscaping work.
The project specifications detail extensive technical requirements for demolition, including hazardous material remediation involving asbestos, PCB, lead-containing paint, and other regulated materials. The contract will require compliance with Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) standards, environmental regulations, and specific technical specifications for each phase of work. Funding and procurement details are not explicitly stated in the document, but the specifications suggest a formal bidding process with detailed technical and performance requirements. The project includes specific provisions for soil erosion control, site restoration, compaction requirements, and landscaping, indicating a comprehensive approach to site redevelopment that goes beyond simple demolition and reconstruction.
