About this file

This is a Scope of Work (SOW) and Specifications document for the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Police Department, specifically focused on procuring uniforms for the Special Operation and Special Response Teams. DART Police is requesting the purchase of 5.11 brand uniforms, including various shirt and pant styles in dark Navy color, for both male and female officers. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining adequate inventory, supplying uniforms in a comprehensive range of sizes (shirt sizes SM-5XL for males, 30-50 for females, and jacket sizes SM-4XL), and providing on-site tailoring services to ensure a professional, well-fitted appearance.

The vendor must customize the uniforms with specific requirements, including sewing DART Police shoulder patches, special division emblems, rank chevrons, cloth badges, and name tabs at no additional cost. The patches and customizations will vary slightly depending on the specific uniform item, with thread color (silver or gold) indicating rank. Orders will be coordinated through the Quartermaster's office using a "Uniform Authorization Form", and the vendor must have a varied selection of sizes in stock. The document emphasizes maintaining a consistent, professional look across the department's Special Operations and Response Teams.
