About this file
This is a Scope of Work document for Boulder County Public Health (BCPH) in Colorado seeking a qualified vendor to supply water filtration units and replacement filters for up to 215 households. The project aims to provide both pitcher-style and point-of-use under-sink water filters designed to remove Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) while addressing taste and odor concerns. The pitcher-style filters must have a minimum reported filtering capacity of 100 gallons per filter, while the under-sink filters must have a minimum capacity of 500 gallons per filter. All filters must meet NSF/ANSI Standard 53 or 58 to ensure performance and safety compliance. The under-sink filters must be DIY installation-friendly, requiring no professional plumbing services for setup or filter changes. Additionally, replacement filters should be widely available through online retailers. Both filter types must achieve a 95% removal rate for PFOA and PFOS.
Vendors must provide detailed pricing per unit for each filter type and replacement filters, including estimated shipping costs for both direct delivery to BCPH and to individual household recipients. The proposal should specify any quantity discounts available. BCPH anticipates needing approximately 215 filter units and 750 replacement filters for bulk shipment. Vendors should indicate whether they offer the option to ship directly to individual clients and provide corresponding shipping cost estimates. No specific response deadline, award date, contract term, or renewal options are detailed in this scope of work document.
