About this file

This is a Single Source Advertisement issued by the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) for the procurement of a proprietary software license from QuaverEd, Inc. The procurement seeks a Quaver Music Resource K-8 software license for the fiscal year 2026-2027. The advertisement period runs from May 19, 2026 at 4:00 PM through June 10, 2026 at 4:00 PM, providing a statutorily mandated fifteen business day advertising window for vendors to respond. This is not a competitive solicitation but rather a description of intended single source purchase posted pursuant to Florida Statutes 287.057(3), 120.57(3), and Florida Administrative Code Rule 60A-1.045. The commodities being procured fall under educational or reference software, multi-media educational software, and teacher resource materials classifications.

The estimated not-to-exceed dollar amount for this procurement is $2,700.00. FSDB has identified QuaverEd, Inc., located at 65 Music Square West in Nashville, Tennessee, as the sole source provider for the Quaver Music Resource software and related instructional materials. The justification for single source procurement is based on QuaverEd's exclusive ownership and copyright protection of its comprehensive curriculum products, including QuaverMusic, QuaverReady, Quaver Music Integration, QuaverHealth, QuavarPE, and associated courses and resources. QuavarEd has no distribution or reseller agreements with other publishers and solely determines pricing for its proprietary products. Vendors believing they can fulfill this procurement requirement should submit information demonstrating their ability to supply the described commodities to Kim Whitwam, Director of Purchasing, at whitwamk@fsdbk12.org within the fifteen business day advertising period.
