About this file
This is a Single Source Advertisement for a sole source procurement by the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB). The agency seeks to purchase subscription services for Mosaic Cloud and MealViewer Digital Suite from Heartland School Solutions for the Food Service Department. These software solutions will support menu planning, recipe costing, inventory management, and point of sale operations to ensure compliance with Federal school breakfast and lunch programs for fiscal year 2026-2027. The advertisement period runs from June 5, 2026, at 4:00 PM through June 29, 2026, at 4:00 PM, providing the statutorily mandated fifteen business day advertising period. Interested vendors must submit questions or information regarding their ability to supply the requested commodities to Kim Whitwam, Director of Purchasing, at whitwamk@fsdbk12.org during the advertisement period.
The estimated not-to-exceed dollar amount for this procurement is $5,000.00. Heartland School Solutions, located at 765 Jefferson Road, #400, Rochester, New York 14623, is identified as the intended single source provider. The justification for single source acquisition is based on Heartland School Solutions being the exclusive supplier of the Mosaic software family, including Point of Sale, Cloud Menu Planning and Nutrient Analysis, Ordering and Inventory, MealViewer Digital Suite software, and the Suite Mobile App, with no authorized resellers available. The agency reserves the right to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses received during the advertising period, and any determination not to proceed with the single source acquisition remains solely within the agency's discretion.
