About this file
The document is an E-Verify Requirement form from the Town of Palm Beach, Florida, outlining compliance requirements for contractors and subcontractors under section 448.095 of the Florida Statutes. The document mandates that all proposers and their subcontractors must be registered with the E-Verify System (E-Verify.gov) and use it to electronically verify the employment eligibility of all newly hired workers, effective January 1, 2021.
The form requires proposers to obtain affidavits from subcontractors confirming they do not employ unauthorized aliens, with these affidavits to be maintained for at least the duration of the subcontract. The Town of Palm Beach reserves the right to terminate the contract if there is a good faith belief that the contractor or subcontractor has knowingly violated employment eligibility regulations. Violation can result in contract termination and a one-year ban from future Town of Palm Beach contracts, with the contractor potentially liable for additional costs incurred due to the termination.
