About this file

This is a Drug-Free Workplace Affidavit required for the Letcher County Fiscal Court's Invitation for Bid for Appraisal Review Services in Kentucky. The affidavit establishes mandatory requirements that responding firms must satisfy to demonstrate compliance with federal drug-free workplace standards. The contractor must publish a workplace statement prohibiting unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession, or use of controlled substances; inform employees of drug abuse dangers and available counseling or rehabilitation programs; distribute the drug-free workplace statement to all employees engaged in providing the commodities or contractual services under bid; notify employees that as a condition of working on the contract they must abide by the statement and report any controlled substance law convictions or guilty pleas within five days of conviction; impose sanctions or require satisfactory participation in drug abuse assistance or rehabilitation programs for convicted employees; and make a good faith effort to maintain a drug-free workplace through continuous implementation of these requirements.

No additional pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent information, funding sources, or other salient contractual details are contained within this affidavit document. The affidavit serves solely as a compliance certification mechanism for bidders responding to the appraisal review services contract for approximately 150 residential properties requiring desk technical reviews in accordance with the Uniform Standards for Professional Appraisal Practice.
