Statement of Work

23d Maintenance Squadron

Workbench/Roll Around Equipment Stand Purchase and Installation

1.0 Background

This furniture will be utilized in a Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory to calibrate various measuring items. Measurements areas include electronic power, resistance, capacity, frequency, voltage, phase noise, and vibrations. Additional measurement areas include physical dimensions, force, mass, pressure, temperature, torque, and vacuum. The furniture shall be resistant to petroleum-based products and stable enough to support various high precision measuring equipment. The equipment shall be ergonomically adjustable as specified. The old furniture will be removed from the laboratory.

2.0 Scope

The 23d Maintenance Squadron (MXS) requires multiple size workbenches and roll around equipment stands to the specified requirements listed below along with their installation. All workbenches and roll around equipment stands shall be of a design that prevents accumulation of dust and facilitates cleaning. Working surfaces shall be resistant to heat, chemicals, chipping, or other deterioration and electrically nonconductive.

Vendor shall be required to provide all necessary equipment, tools, and materials needed to build (if not previously built) and place all workbenches and roll around equipment stands.

All items must be fully assembled when placed in final position within the lab. Vendor shall perform function check of each workbench and roll around equipment stand. Vendor shall disassemble and remove old workbenches and roll around carts identified to be removed and place them in the parking lot outside Building 552, at location appointed by customer.

Vendor shall complete work in three (3) rooms within building 552. Vendor shall be responsible for daily clean up and proper disposal of refuse and materials. Vendor shall be working in an environmentally controlled laboratory and must work in a fashion to maintain the environment to include but not limited to keeping the doors closed. Vendor shall limit bringing dirt into the lab and shall not be allowed to bring drinks into the lab.

3.0 Requirements:

All length measurements are forward facing.

3.1 Produce six (6) each electrical workbench with riser and top shelf. The dimensions of the workbench shall be a minimum of 72in ±2 length by 34in ±2 width with an adjustable height, on demand, of 29in to 40in. The workbench shall contain eight (8) electrical receptacles on the back facing forward. The workbench shall be capable of holding a minimum of 130lbs. Two (2) side by side and centered drawers with the dimensions of 24in ±2 length by 34in ±2 width not to exceed the workbench width (must be flush with the front) by 3in depth with customizable bins shall be located under the workbench. The riser, mounted to the workbench, dimensions are 72in ±2 length by 19in ±2 width by 18in height (riser length must match workbench length) with sixteen (16) electrical receptacles facing forward and capable of holding a minimum of 75lbs. The top shelf, mounted on the riser, dimensions are 72in ±2 length by 15in ±2 width by 10in height (shelf length must match workbench and riser length) and capable of holding 25 lbs. Assemble and place the workbenches in the location it shall be used. Connect the electrical line to existing utilities. Perform function check.

3.2 Produce three (3) each electrical workbench with riser. The dimensions of the workbench shall be a minimum of 72in ±2 length by 34in ±2 width by 34in height. The workbench shall contain eight (8) electrical receptacles on the back facing forward. The workbench shall be capable of holding a minimum of 130lbs.

A five (5) drawer cabinet placed below the workbench from underside of bench to the floor, shall be placed on the right side, dimensions are 27 in ±2 length by 28 in

±2 width not to exceed the workbench width (must be flush with the front) with various drawer depths with customizable bins. The riser, mounted on top of the workbench, dimensions are 72in ±2 length by 19in ±2 width by 18in height (riser length must match workbench length) with sixteen (16) electrical receptacles facing forward and capable of holding a minimum of 75lbs. Assemble and place the workbenches in the location it will be used. Connect the electrical line to existing utilities. Perform function check.

3.3a Produce one (1) each electrical workbench with riser. The dimensions of the workbench shall be a minimum of 90in ±6 length by 34in ±2 width by 34in height. The workbench shall contain eight (8) electrical receptacles on the back facing forward. The workbench shall be capable of holding a minimum of 130lbs.

A five (5) drawer cabinet placed below the workbench from underside of bench to the floor, shall be placed on the right side, dimensions are 27 in ±2 length by 28 in

3.7 Produce one (1) each butcher block workbench. The dimensions of the workbench shall be a minimum of 90in ±6 length by 34in ±2 width by 34in height with four

(4) electrical receptacles on the front face and eight (8) electrical receptacles on the back facing forward. The workbench shall be capable of holding a minimum of 130lbs. A five (5) drawer cabinet placed below the workbench from underside of bench to the floor, shall be placed on the left side, dimensions are 27 in ±2 length by 28 in ±2 width not to exceed the workbench width (must be flush with the front) with various drawer depths with customizable bins. Assemble and place the workbenches in the location it will be used. Connect the electrical line to existing utilities. Perform function check.

3.8 Produce two (2) each electrical split top workbench. The dimensions of the workbench shall include two (2) flush side by side tops a minimum of 36in ±2 length by 34in ±2 width by 34in height. The workbench shall contain four (4) electrical receptacles on the front face and eight (8) electrical receptacles on the back facing forward. Each top should rise independently, on demand, a minimum of 18in height and shall be capable of holding 75lbs. A five (5) drawer cabinet placed below the workbench from underside of bench to the floor, shall be placed on the left side, dimensions are 27 in ±2 length by 28 in ±2 width not to exceed the workbench width (must be flush with the front) with various drawer depths with customizable bins. Assemble and place the workbenches in the location it will be used. Connect the electrical line to existing utilities. Perform function check.

3.9 Produce sixteen (16) each roll around equipment stand. The top of the roll around equipment cart is flat with no fore and aft lip. The dimensions of the roll around equipment stand are 21in ±1 length by 24in ±1 width by 30in height with the workbench shelf adjustable to 33-degree pitch up facing forward. The workbench shall contain two (2) each adjustable securing straps mounted from left to right.

Below the top, one (1) or two (2) drawers would be acceptable, and the L x W dimensions can mirror the top’s dimensions with 5in depth. Below the drawer(s) should be an open shelf. The stand should rest on four (4) each omni-directional wheel casters with lockable brakes.

4.0 Installation:

4.1 Conducted Monday – Friday, during the hours of 7:00 am – 5:00 pm. If work is required outside these hours, vendor will coordinate with the facility manager prior.
