About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details sports officiating services for Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, covering four primary sports: softball, basketball, flag football, and volleyball. The contractor must provide certified officials for each sport, with specific certification requirements from organizations like USA Softball, National Federation of High Schools, and National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association. The contract requires two officials per game for softball, flag football, and volleyball, and three officials plus one table personnel for basketball.
The sports seasons run from May through December, with an estimated 106 games per sport (91 league and 15 playoff games). All officials must arrive 15 minutes before games, pick up and return equipment to the Fitness Center, complete scorebooks, and follow specific league rules. The contract includes provisions for game scheduling, makeup games, equipment handling, protest procedures, and accommodation for potential season changes due to mission requirements or weather. Services will typically be performed Monday through Friday from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, with the contractor responsible for providing certified, appropriately attired officials for all scheduled sporting events.
