STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENTS
UD Uniform Upgrade Purchase
1.0 Purpose:
The purpose of this Statement of Requirements is to procure new operational uniforms for the ranks of officer and sergeant for the United States Secret Service Uniformed Division in support of Protective Operations.
2.0 Statement of Requirements
The 5.11 Stryke PDU Uniform will be an upgrade to our current uniforms provided to our personnel. To effectively combat some of the more drastic issues that we are currently experiencing, such as durability, breathability, and overall quality and comfort. We started a search for a uniform on the commercial market that are made with fabrics that can withstand extended wear, maintain its color and shape while still being flexible/stretch. The fabric also is required to repel light moisture and precipitation and resist stains and oils. We also wanted a fabric that could stand up to constant wash and wear as well as dry cleaning product for in depth treatment of heavy soiled areas or spots. We also wanted fasteners that we not likely to burn, melt or fade and crack over time. Rigorous testing of products led us to the PDU Stryke Uniforms manufactured by 5.11.
