2-Appendix A Elementary Science Furniture Specs.xlsx

This document is a detailed specification sheet for science furniture procurement by School District U-46 in Illinois, outlining specific equipment and safety supplies for elementary science classrooms. The procurement includes 51 units of specialized classroom furniture and accessories, such as a teacher demo table with lockable microscope storage, portable eyewash stations with saline solution, teacher work desks, student desks, 16-inch navy student chairs, safety goggles (in mixed sizes), safety goggle cleaning wipes, and laboratory aprons. The specifications provide comprehensive details about each item's dimensions, materials, construction, and specific features designed for elementary science education environments.

The specification sheet does not explicitly detail pricing beyond indicating $0.00 for most items, suggesting potential volume discounting or separate pricing negotiations. The procurement appears focused on creating standardized, high-quality science learning spaces with durable, chemical-resistant furniture and essential safety equipment. The items are specified with precise measurements, materials (such as solid oak, oak veneer, and high-pressure laminate), and functional requirements like lockable storage, adjustable glides, and chemical-resistant finishes. The quantity of 51 units for each item suggests a district-wide implementation across multiple elementary school science classrooms, indicating a comprehensive approach to upgrading science learning environments.
