About this file
This document is a Scope of Work (SOW) issued by the Beaufort Jasper Water & Sewer Authority (BJWSA) for the Port Royal Water Reclamation Facility – Secondary Clarifiers project. The project involves replacing secondary clarifier equipment in two clarifiers at the Port Royal Island Water Reclamation Facility, with work to include reviewing existing drawings, surveying basin dimensions, designing and manufacturing full-radius spiral scraper sludge removal mechanisms, and providing start-up services and training. The selected manufacturer will be responsible for furnishing all materials and equipment as specified in the technical specifications developed by Brown & Caldwell, with record drawings from Jordan, Jones & Goulding dated July 2006 provided as reference.
The bidding process requires two pricing options: a base bid using 304 stainless steel materials and an alternate deduct bid using zinc-galvanized steel. The manufacturer will be responsible for creating shop drawings, shipping equipment, providing operations and maintenance manuals, and coordinating with the Construction Contractor, who will be procured separately by BJWSA. Start-up services will be scheduled with a minimum of 30 days' notice from the Construction Contractor, and the technical specifications for the project are dated October 2025. The attachments include the technical specifications and the secondary clarifier record drawings, which will be critical resources for the bidding and implementation process.
