About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation No. 19TH2026Q0021 issued by the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand on April 9, 2026, concerning office furniture installation services.
The document addresses three key inquiries from potential bidders. Regarding workstation electrical requirements, furniture vendors must prepare partitions with punched holes sized for standard duplex outlets, with four holes per cubicle to accommodate three duplex electrical outlets and one COM/TEL outlet. The vendor is not responsible for supplying cables, receptacles, or cabling installation work, which will be performed by others and coordinated by a Contracting Officer Representative from Facility Management. On workstation design, bidders may propose multiple design options beyond the specified enclosed panel systems (such as Knoll Morrison or Knoll Reff systems), provided the proposals meet the functional requirements outlined in the Statement of Work and include pricing for each option. All pricing must be submitted in Thai Baht (THB) only; offers in U.S. dollars are not acceptable, and payment will be made in local currency rather than USD.

Questions and Answers
Question 1- On workstation electrics – Do you want us to supply cables and receptacles for the workstations to fit into the openings? If so, pls confirm 220 v / 50 hz and please confirm the receptacle type. Standard power x 3 and UPS power X 1, correct? or, only openings and not cables?
• Furniture vendors should prepare partitions with punched holes (the size of the standard duplex outlet/receptacle).
• There will be 4 holes for each cubicles, to accommodate 3 duplex electrical outlets, and one for COM/TEL outlets.
• All associated electrical and communication cabling work and outlets shall be done by others.
• A COR (Contracting Officer Representative) from Facility Management will coordinate work between the furniture vendor and other vendors to ensure smooth coordination between all parties.
Question 2 - Workstation design. Yes, we see you have specified an enclosed panel systems furniture like the Knoll Morrison or Knoll Reff systems. Would you consider something other than a panel system? But with some privacy?
• Bidders may propose more than one design option, with prices. The proposed design options have to serve the functions as described in the Statement of Work.
Question 3 - Can we offer in US$ and receive payment in US$?
• The solicitation requires pricing in Thai Baht (THB) only; therefore, all offers must be submitted in local currency (THB).
