About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document clarifying requirements for a federal contract opportunity involving renovation and finishing works at a U.S. Consulate facility in Karachi, Pakistan.
The project requires supply and installation of specific granite and paver materials, including ST-3 Ghibli Granite Grey Polished panels in various dimensions (quantities ranging from 2-3 units per specification) and ST-6 Ghibli Granite Honed Finished panels, along with Envi Crete pavers in specified quantities and dimensions. Additional work includes finishing of walls, ceilings, and other surfaces totaling 800 square feet requiring exterior ceiling weather-shied white paint (similar to Jotun brand). The vendor must provide data sheets for existing products, material samples for approval (granite, pavers, cement board, adhesive, grout, sealant, primer, and paint) with an estimated 7 working days for review, and photographs of all work elements. Work must commence within 10 calendar days after Notice to Proceed and be completed within 30 calendar days of vendor commencement on-site. The Government will provide access to water, electricity, storage, staging, and waste collection areas. A U.S.-based small business registered in SAM.gov may serve as prime contractor using a qualified local Karachi-based C4-licensed subcontractor, provided the prime performs a minimum 50 percent of total work with clearly defined roles. Payment may be made in USD for contractors with valid USD accounts, with USA companies quoting in USD and Pakistani companies quoting in Pakistani Rupees (PKR). Line 3 of Attachment 3 is not required, and Consulate logo provision is not required.
