About this file

This document is a set of Questions and Answers (Q&A) for Request for Quotation (RFQ) 19N06025Q0005 for a Residential Landscape Lighting Project at the U.S. Embassy in Oslo, Norway. The Q&A provides detailed clarifications on technical specifications and requirements for the lighting installation, including conduit types, junction box materials, cable routing, foundation requirements, and installation constraints. Key points include using 50mm pipes for communication conduits, installing steel conduits from 10cm above ground to light fixtures, using metallic junction boxes on facade walls, and ensuring no exposed cables or wireless equipment.

The project involves installing landscape lighting with 17 walkway bollard lights and 2 light poles, with power routing to the technical room in the main basement. Contractors must provide their own anchorage kits, concrete foundations, and ensure precise light placement with a plan approved by the Contracting Officer's Representative. The project has specific requirements about vehicle parking, underground utility location, and restoration of existing pathways. Quotations must be submitted by 16:00 Oslo local time on August 1, 2025, to OsloGSOBids@state.gov, with an estimated contract value between $25,000 and $100,000 and a 90-calendar day completion timeline.
