About this file
This is Amendment 00002 to a solicitation for construction services issued by the U.S. Embassy Nairobi, Kenya (Solicitation 19KE5026Q0082, dated August 3, 2026). The amendment, effective August 19, 2026, revises the original solicitation regarding the LOCHAB Borehole Drilling project in the Runda Area, Nairobi.
The primary changes include: revised pricing pages (SF1442 and the A.1.2 Pricing Table on pages 17, 18, and 19); incorporation of Solicitation Questions & Answers as an attachment that offerors must account for in their proposals; and extension of the solicitation deadline to 10:00 AM East Africa time on August 20, 2026. The contractor must acknowledge receipt of this amendment prior to the submission deadline through one of three methods: completing items 8 and 15 and returning one copy, acknowledging receipt on each offer copy, or submitting a separate letter or telegram with solicitation and amendment number references. The contract performance schedule requires the contractor to begin work within five calendar days of award and complete the borehole drilling within 30 construction days. The solicitation requires delivery of multiple items including securities/insurance documentation, construction schedules, preconstruction conference attendance, personnel biographies, payment requests, and notifications of delays or differing site conditions, all with specified delivery dates and recipients (Contracting Officer or Contracting Officer's Representative). The work involves borehole drilling to 360 meters depth, ground sub-surface control, casing and screen installation, aquifer testing, and supply and installation of a Grundfos pump system with associated equipment and controls.
