About this file

This document is a Standard Form 30 (SF-30) Amendment A00001 for Solicitation 19KE5025R0001, modifying a health insurance services contract for the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya. The amendment makes several key changes: correcting pricing tables to reflect family units instead of lives, updating tables to include Kenya Shillings (KES), editing Section J to provide family category size breakdowns, updating Exhibit F with claims estimates for the past 3 years, removing USAID as an eligible agency, and adjusting the Excess of Loss (XOL) Group Limit. The solicitation due date is extended to June 9 at 9 a.m. East Africa time.

The health insurance contract covers locally employed staff, embassy employees, and select riders for groups like Official Residence Expense (ORE) staff, American Employee Association (AEA), U.S. Peace Corps contractors, and 1998 Embassy Bombing victims. The contract includes comprehensive medical coverage with an annual maximum reimbursement of KES 800,000 per individual, covering services such as mental health, rehabilitative services, HIV/AIDS medications, and out-of-country medical treatments. The solicitation provides detailed demographic breakdowns of potential enrollees, including age ranges, family compositions, and historical claims data, with total estimated coverage for 676 primary families across various categories.
