It is standard practice in the insurance industry (and in other Department of State insurance solicitations) to provide this information to ensure equal/fair opportunity for all offerors in an open solicitation.

A: Due to the nature of the US Government’s work in Iraq, our workforce demographics change frequently. As such, previous data is not considered relevant to this solicitation.

3. Q: Please confirm if mental health (which has a coinsurance of 50%) benefits are included as a part of the annual maximum limit of USD 250,000 per individual per year

A: Per C.2, the Annual Aggregate Maximum Limit does not include 50% items, under which mental health falls per C.1.9.

4. Q: Please confirm that benefit mentioned in point#13 under section C.1 (Statement of Work) is

“Expenses Related to Medical Evacuation” and not “Expenses Related to Medical Evaluation”.

A: Yes, C.1.13 should read “Expenses Related to Medical Evacuation”

5. Q: Please specify if the countries that would serve as an alternate to Jordan for medical evacuation have similar health care costs as Jordan.

A: Jordan is the primary MEDEVAC country and any third country would be chosen for specialty care in an area that Jordanian Hospitals/Doctors do not provide. As such, it is difficult to say which third countries could be chosen.

6. Q: When is the plan likely to commence?

A: August 1, 2022.
